Lookie here!: more from Las Casas de la Selva

Taken from the porch at the abandoned house that I want to buy or-my mom can buy. The view is ridiculous. While I was there a man came to talk to me. He said he grew up there and now lives down the road a bit. He moved to Connecticut for like 20 years and has been back in PR for 6 months now. I told him he was lucky for growing up with such a breath-taking view! He agreed.
Second picture is the view from the cell phone spot! Taken by Alei- an excellent photographer.
Sunset from the top of the watertower, 5 mins walk from the homestead
Walking down the road I found a fantastic view but really my camera doesn't do it justice.
Bridget on top of the watertower
UPR students looking at a lizard that Norman is showing them
Bad picture from a bamboo palace near a restaurant we went to one night. It's one of the most magical places I've ever been.

Beach on Patillas days before there was a sewage leak and it was closed down. Thankfully Norman and I went before-hand!

UPR students doing a lizard study in one of our Liberation plots before we did the felling
Alei is a fabulous dancer, no?

Beautyyyy

I don't really feel like writing because there's so much to write. Uploading this stuff takes forever on this computer so I'll just give quick captions and write a real entry later. I have a looooot to write and it seems to be a daunting task. But everything is absolutely LOVELY and I am so grateful to be here in this spectacular place!

The moment I first touched the ocean! It was in San Juan after dropping off Sujata and Kevin, two awesome volunteers, at the airport.

Right outside the homestead

Alei, an awesome volunteer sitting in fallen blossoms of a Palmarosa tree. This was at a party in the foothills of El Yunque. Their house was awesomeee and had a fantastic yard with a river in the back.

My first day in Puerto Rico we climbed a mountain that was Alei's newly purchased property. Fantastic views. That's Bridget, who's been here for 3 months already and will be here for three more!

I love lizardssss. If you zoom in on his face it's awesome. He looks like a dinosaur.

Norman, Kevin, and Bridget on the beach in San Juan. They swam in their undies!
